Energy Saving Tips

With the start of November in sight, we're approaching that time when the temperature fluctuates between hot and cold. While some days you'll definitely feel like using air conditioning in Orlando FL, it can be annoying to constantly adjust your thermostat. While the temperature is moderate, you may be able to keep your house cool without using your AC. Here a few tips to help keep your house cool and save energy:

  • Block the sun: During the day, try to keep your windows closed and covered. This will not only help keep warm air out, but it will prevent the sunlight from heating up your home.
  • Turn the lights off: Overhead lighting and lighting fixtures can produce a lot of heat. To keep your house cool and reduce energy consumption, make sure to turn lights off when you a room and only use necessary lighting.
  • Spend time downstairs: Your basement is naturally much cooler and a great place to escape on a hot day.
