Inspecting Heat Exchangers
The heat exchangers are the tubes full of heated gas that your building’s air is blown over to warm it up. If there is a crack anywhere in these exchangers, then the carbon monoxide from inside the tubes can get mixed with the circulated air. Even if a carbon monoxide test doesn't show any results, cracked heat exchangers need to be replaced immediately: the cracks can widen under the heat and pressure, and carbon monoxide can start to slip through at any time.
If at any point you feel you could be in danger of carbon monoxide poising, make sure to call a Commercial Mechanical Contractor in Lansing MI.
