Consider a Maintenance Agreement to Protect Your HVAC System
HVAC systems that run constantly require regular service, especially in areas where the weather is warmer, like Bonita Springs FL air conditioning systems. Over time, small issues that are left uncorrected become costly repairs. In addition, a poorly maintained system quickly becomes inefficient, causing additional strain and increases energy consumption. A maintenance agreement helps get the most out of your system and ensure that your home and family maintain optimal comfort year round. Specifically, the benefits of an agreement include:
- Keeping your system working at peak efficiency
- Limit energy consumption and reduce utility bills
- Extend the life of the system
- Reduce the chance of system breakdown or the possibility of unexpected repairs
- Improved air quality due to routine filter replacement

2 Reasons Why Air Conditioning Installation Isn't a DIY Job
Many people prefer to try to tackle in-home repair tasks on their own, and it's likely that over the years, many different skills have been acquired. That being said, installation and repairs related to your HVAC system are often better left to the professionals! Here's why:
It is an exact science. In some projects, if you don't get things exactly right, you might notice, but it's still functional. A little gap in your wood floor? A little annoying but you can still walk on it. Missed a spot painting? No big deal. Installing an air conditioning system requires a lot of steps with a lot of parts, and if any of them aren't done exactly right, you might be left with a system that doesn't work well, or at all. Then you'll have to call in reinforcements and wish you had called in the professionals right from the start.
Before you dive into a complicated HVAC system project such as AC installation in Reston VA, consider contacting a local St. Louis MO air conditioning professional to ensure that the job is done properly!

The Importance of a Trustworthy Contractor
Hiring a reputable and trustworthy HVAC contractor is beneficially for many reasons, including their ability to get the job done right. It's important to find a contractor you like, and stick with them! In addition, when it comes time to replace your unit, you will have developed a relationship with a company that you can trust. No homeowner wants to have to entrust such a big investment to someone they don't know, but working with a reputable air conditioning company will result in a less stressful purchase.

Repair a Frozen AC System
There are many red flags that may cause you to realize your HVAC system is not working properly. One of the most visibly obvious is if the AC system freezes. If you notice this, make sure you stop running your system immediately and contact a local Clinton MD air conditioning repair professional or Fountain Hills AZ air conditioning installation expert to take a look. Continuing to use your air conditioning in this condition can damage the compressor, which can bring about the need for even more serious repairs! Always be on high alert when inspecting your HVAC system and schedule routine maintenance to make sure everything is running properly.
What's Included in a Tune-Up?
If you're planning on scheduling a tune-up for your HVAC system in the coming months, here are the different things that a contract will typically do during this process:
Changing the air filter: a dirty filter forces your system to work harder to keep you cool. Your HVAC technician will inspect and change your system's air filter.
Inspecting and tightening electrical connections: Your HVAC technician will inspect and tighten your electrical connections to ensure that they function properly. Your technician will also measure the current and voltage on your system's motors.
Inspection of the drain: Your air conditioning system collects water which drains to the sewer system under your property. Your HVAC technician will inspect this drain to confirm that it is free of blockages; this will ensure that condensate water does not flood your basement.
Lubrication of moving parts: Parts that lack lubrication cause your system to waste electricity. Your HVAC technician will add lubrication to ensure that your system's moving parts operate safely and efficiently.
Checking of system controls: Your HVAC technician will check your system to confirm that it starts and stops properly, and that all of the system's control options function correctly.
Getting a tune-up will not only extend the life of your air conditioner, but it will save you money on utility bills. Contact a local Bakersfield CA air conditioning service professional or an expert on AC repair in Fairfax VA to schedule your new service appointment.

A Quick Air Conditioning Fix
With the temperatures rising, I found myself walking to my thermostat multiple times a day to turn the temperature down lower and lower, waiting for my home to feel cool. After a few days of constant warmth, I decided to contact a local Orlando FL air conditioning repair contractor to take a look. I figured this would be a costly repair and immediately started to think of different ways to afford the work my air conditioning system would need to bring it back to top shape. To my surprise, the contractors told me that it was a simple fix - I just needed to clean out the air filter! They also told em that since I'm starting to use my AC more frequently, the air filter will need to be cleaned more often than in previous months. Needless to say, I will be checking my air filter at least once a month!
