Is Your Furnace Making Odd Sounds?

Odd noises coming from your furnace should never be ignored. Scraping, screeching, and rattling sounds are signs there's a problem with the blower wheel or blower wheel motor. Scraping usually indicates the blower wheel fan is no longer secure and is rubbing against the blower wheel housing. Screeching and rattling are symptoms of either worn bearings or a lack of lubrication. All three sounds need to be addressed immediately by a heating specialist; otherwise, further damage to your furnace can occur, which will end up costing you more money in the long run.

Even the best systems aren't going to last much longer than 15 to 20 years. If you haven't replaced your heating system in that time (or have no idea when it was last replaced), there is a good chance it's going to be time to call a Heating Service in Lynwood IL for an upgrade.
