4 Signs That Your Furnace is in Need of Repair

We use our furnaces a lot during the winter, so it's important to be on the lookout for problems so you can address them before they become too big. Look out for these signs so you can can a problem early on and fix it before your furnace stops working. You should have your furnace repaired if:
  1. The burner flame is yellow, and not blue. This is a major sign of carbon monoxide. Call for an appointment immediately.
  2. You have ongoing issues with your pilot light or fuses.
  3. Air quality in the house is down. If family members with breathing issues are having trouble managing symptoms, or others are fighting off colds frequently, your furnace may be part of the problem.
  4. Your system is over 15 years old. At this point, you want to at least have things checked out to make sure it's going to get you through the winter.
With cold weather coming up, it is important to catch problems early on before it gets really chilly.  If you're experiencing any of these issues, contact a Clifton VA heating service for an evaluation.
